Welcome

I am based in County Durham and I have been doing photography for around 5 years, or at least I started to take it more seriously about 5 years ago.

My skills at the moment are basic but I am always looking for ways to expand the knowledge that I have gained. I am self taught and mainly rely on books for tips and advice.

The equipment that I use are as follows:

Camera: Nikon D50 with standard 18mm – 55 mm lens
Telephoto lens: Tamron 55mm – 200mm, Sigma 170-500mm lens.
Filters: UV, Cokin A series 197 & 123
Other Equipment: Velbon mono & tripod
Flashgun: Nikon SB600

You will see in my gallery that I don’t have a great variety of subjects, by that I mean that I do tend to stick to landscape and recently started photographing wildlife. I do eventually plan on venturing to studio work as well.

Once I have more experience I do intend to try for the Licentiateship with the Royal Photographic Society of Great Britain, as I feel that I will have achieved something by gaining this.

Please do enjoy the photos that I have taken thus far…
