The following notes may be of use to organisers of events, coaches and parents.



Sport requires different techniques to other photography. And those sports which take place indoors have another dimension - capturing good action shots in the relatively low light of the arena, when flash is prohibited, is a specialist skill.


For larger competitions and events, a photographer will also need be efficient, and have the professionalism to manage a high volume of orders.

I have experience of producing quality images in a wide range of sports, and recently these have appeared in Rugby World, iSkate (Ice Skating) and Powerplay (Ice Hockey) and numerous local newspapers and websites.

If you're involved in organising events, I'd be happy to discuss how I could fit in, and of course, provide copies of insurance cover, and sight of my CRB check.

Where children and young people are involved, I follow the CPSU guidelines rigourously.
(For example, where images are used on the internet, the individual's name is never shown). I'd be happy to speak to your Welfare Officer about how photography at your own events can be managed, or if you'd like a copy of my policy document on junior sport, please email me.

My prices vary (depending mainly on whether it's a Junior or Senior event) but are always designed to minimise the cost to the club or organisers. For Junior events, it's usually free to the club, and my costs are covered from sales to the participants.

Images are usually uploaded to my website within 24 hours, and orders are normally processed within 48 hours. It may take longer for larger events, but even so, I aim for a maximum of 10 days.
